Most of our land is the very best silt land and we can sometimes grow two crops in one year as we do with fennel.
Frequently, after daffodils or peas in July or August we will let another specialist grower grow a crop of overwintered cauliflower. He will then follow that with broccoli for the succeeding autumn.
We work closely with DGM Growers who are major customers for our Celeriac and they grow their specialist crops of Chard, courgettes and sprouting broccoli with us and it all contributes to a varied and healthy rotation.
